Welcome to Vega1923!
Inspired by a shared dream
Vega1923 is a woman-owned, family-operated micro business. In 2021, we made a life-changing decision. Leaving behind our fast-paced corporate careers in Istanbul, we moved to the serene lands of Çanakkale to pursue a passion rooted in family, tradition, and a deep love for the soil. Together with our 13-year-old son, Demir, who helps between school and basketball, we are building a legacy I hope will span generations.
Vega1923 is more than a business— it’s about building a legacy
Named after the radiant star Vega, historically used as a standard for brightness, and the year "1923"—a tribute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, founder of the Republic of Türkiye, who empowered Turkish women by introducing equal rights in the 1920s—Vega1923 stands as a testament to female empowerment, leadership, and vision.
A truly unique land where nature meets history
Nestled in the fertile grounds of Çanakkale, between the ancient city of Troy—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—and the timeless ruins of Assos, Vega1923’s olive groves stretch across lands steeped in history and beauty, with views that reach out to the picturesque island of Bozcaada.
It is here, in this enchanting setting, that we cultivate olives with care, drawing on the rich heritage of the region and embracing sustainable practices to protect the land for future generations.
I invite you to be a part of our journey, to share in the taste of tradition, and to support my heartfelt dream of creating a sustainable and impactful legacy.
Welcome to Vega1923 where everything is crafted with love, dedication, and a touch of stardust.

Our extra virgin olive oil is crafted with care, sourced from our sustainable olive groves that honor the earth through regenerative agriculture — respecting nature’s cycles, with no tilling or artificial watering.
No harmful chemicals touch our orchards, preserving the biodiversity and the purity of our land and oil.
Olives are harvested by hand and shaking machines.
Vega1923 extra virgin olive oil is a sustainable, early harvest,
cold-pressed, single-estate oil with a geographical indication, offering unparalleled flavor and quality.
75% of our team is women and their smile says it all – proud to be part of the Vega1923 journey,
one olive at a time.
Equally essential to our mission is our commitment to the local community. Our family works actively alongside local workers, 75% of whom are women, during the harvest. Fair wages, promptly paid, honor their invaluable contributions, and we are committed to the highest ethical labor standards, always ensuring a child-labor-free environment.
The joy of a bountiful harvest! Emine from our team is soaking up the beauty of the 2024 season.

Exquisite ceramics handcrafted for Vega1923 by internationally renowned ceramic artists Burak Çiftçi and Sinem Kınay honor the centuries-old ceramic heritage of Çanakkale. Each piece showcases designs inspired by and named after the beauty and archaeological finds from Bozcaada, Assos and the ancient lands of Troy, just a stone’s throw from our olive groves. The traditional Çanakkale ceramics created by our esteemed artists, Burak and Sinem, are displayed at the International Museum of Ceramics (MIC Faenza - Museo Internazionale Delle Ceramiche). Our ceramics are food safe.
Hand-carved olive wood utensils are crafted from pruned branches of our trees. By repurposing wood that would otherwise go to waste, we create beautiful, functional pieces—an exemplary practice of the circular economy.
Artisan-made copper oil cruets bring a touch of elegance to your kitchen and table.
By choosing Vega 1923, you support a passionate, woman-owned micro business while embracing a commitment to exceptional quality, sustainability, and cultural heritage.
